Terms & Conditions
Thank you for choosing Pinnacle Plumbing Heating & Gas Ltd. Please find below our Terms and Conditions, which outline the scope of our services, responsibilities and limitations of liability. These terms are designed to ensure clarity, transparency and fairness for all work undertaken.
Scope of Work
All work carried out by Pinnacle Plumbing Heating & Gas Ltd will be completed in accordance with the agreed quotation or specification. Any additional work requested outside of the original scope may be subject to further charges and will be agreed prior to commencement wherever reasonably practicable.
Quotations and Unforeseen Works
Quotations are based upon the visible condition of the property and services at the time of survey. Should concealed defects, poor previous workmanship, non-compliant installations, inaccessible pipework, hidden leaks, corrosion, asbestos, contaminated heating systems or any other unforeseen circumstances be discovered during the works, additional labour and materials may be required. Any additional work will be discussed with the customer before proceeding wherever reasonably practicable.
Workmanship Guarantee
We take pride in the quality of our workmanship. All installation work carried out by Pinnacle Plumbing Heating & Gas Ltd is guaranteed for a period of 12 months from the date of completion unless otherwise stated. This guarantee applies only to defects arising directly from our workmanship.
Manufacturer Warranties
Materials, boilers, appliances and components supplied by Pinnacle Plumbing Heating & Gas Ltd are covered by the respective manufacturer’s warranty. We are not responsible for manufacturer defects but will assist customers with warranty claims where reasonably possible.
Existing Systems and Components
We will exercise reasonable care when working on existing plumbing, heating and gas systems. However, due to the age and condition of many existing installations, we cannot guarantee the integrity, reliability or continued performance of pre-existing components.
Existing Valves, Pipework and Fittings
Existing isolation valves, stop taps, service valves, radiator valves, filling loops and other plumbing fittings may have deteriorated through age, corrosion, wear or lack of operation. Operating these components as part of our work may expose pre-existing defects resulting in leakage or failure. Pinnacle Plumbing Heating & Gas Ltd accepts no liability for the replacement or repair of existing components unless they have been supplied and installed by us.
Pressurising Existing Systems
Draining, filling, repressurising or recommissioning an existing plumbing or heating system may reveal weaknesses within ageing pipework, radiators, valves, cylinders, expansion vessels, pressure relief valves, seals or fittings. Such failures are considered pre-existing conditions and are not the result of our workmanship.
Leaks from Existing Fixtures and Components
Pinnacle Plumbing Heating & Gas Ltd shall not be held liable for leaks or failures arising from existing fixtures, fittings, valves, pipework, appliances or sanitaryware that were not supplied or installed by us. While operating or reconnecting existing components may expose underlying weaknesses, such failures are typically due to age, wear or pre-existing deterioration and are not considered a result of our workmanship. Any consequential damage resulting from such failures remains the responsibility of the property owner and should be addressed through their buildings or contents insurance where appropriate.
Heating System Water Quality
The performance and longevity of heating appliances depends upon the condition of the existing heating system. Where poor water quality, sludge, corrosion, contamination or inadequate inhibitor levels are identified, we may recommend chemical cleaning, power flushing or remedial works. Failure to carry out recommended work may affect appliance performance and manufacturer warranties. Pinnacle Plumbing Heating & Gas Ltd accepts no liability for faults arising from contaminated heating systems.
Testing and Commissioning
Upon completion, all newly installed systems and connections will be tested and commissioned to ensure they are operating correctly and are free from leaks at the time of handover. Any issues arising after completion relating to existing systems or components are not covered by our workmanship guarantee.
Existing Electrical Installations
Where our work relies upon an existing electrical supply, it is assumed that the installation is safe and compliant. Should unsafe, damaged or non-compliant electrical installations be identified, work may be suspended until appropriate remedial work has been completed. Any additional costs arising from such issues will be chargeable.
Existing Gas Installations
Existing gas pipework will be assessed in accordance with current regulations and appliance manufacturer requirements. Where upgrades are necessary to achieve compliance or safe operation, additional work may be required and charged separately.
Concealed Services
Pinnacle Plumbing Heating & Gas Ltd cannot accept responsibility for damage to concealed pipework, electrical cables, drainage systems or other hidden services that could not reasonably be identified prior to commencement of works.
Decorative Finishes
Whilst every reasonable effort will be made to minimise disruption and damage, certain works may require lifting flooring, removing skirting boards, boxing, plasterboard, tiling or decorative finishes. Unless specifically included within the quotation, making good, plastering, decorating, painting, tiling and cosmetic repairs are excluded.
Structural Defects
We accept no responsibility for existing structural defects, subsidence, timber decay, damp, mould, defective building fabric or any other building-related issues discovered during the course of our work.
Asbestos
Should asbestos-containing materials be suspected or discovered during the works, work will cease immediately until appropriate specialist advice or removal has been undertaken. Any associated delays or additional costs shall remain the responsibility of the customer.
Drainage and Existing Blockages
We accept no responsibility for pre-existing drainage restrictions, blockages or defects which become apparent during testing or recommissioning of plumbing systems.
Customer-Supplied Materials
Where customers provide appliances, fittings or materials, Pinnacle Plumbing Heating & Gas Ltd accepts no responsibility for their quality, suitability, compatibility, manufacturer defects or damage incurred prior to installation. Our workmanship guarantee applies solely to the installation of the materials provided.
It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that all customer-supplied materials are correct, complete and free from damage before installation. Where materials are found to be damaged, defective, incorrect, incomplete or unsuitable, any labour lost as a result, including delays to the scheduled works, will be chargeable at our current labour rates.
Should Pinnacle Plumbing Heating & Gas Ltd be required to return to install replacement materials at a later date, an additional charge for labour, travel time, mileage and any associated costs will apply.
Access and Customer Responsibilities
The customer is responsible for providing safe, suitable and uninterrupted access to the work area together with suitable services including electricity and water where required. Delays or additional costs resulting from restricted access, customer delays or unforeseen site conditions may be chargeable.
Future Access
Where pipework, valves, fittings or equipment become concealed by furniture, boxing, flooring or decorative finishes, it is the customer’s responsibility to ensure suitable future access is available. We accept no responsibility for future access costs.
Delays Beyond Our Control
Pinnacle Plumbing Heating & Gas Ltd shall not be liable for delays resulting from adverse weather, supplier shortages, manufacturer delays, utility interruptions, customer delays, restricted access or any circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
Waste Disposal
Unless specifically included within the quotation, the removal and disposal of hazardous waste, asbestos-containing materials or contaminated substances is excluded.
Photographic Records
We reserve the right to take photographs before, during and after completion of works for record keeping, warranty evidence, insurance purposes and training. Personal information will not be disclosed without the customer’s consent.
Annual Servicing
Where appliance manufacturer warranties require annual servicing, it remains the customer’s responsibility to ensure servicing is carried out in accordance with the manufacturer’s requirements. Failure to do so may invalidate any applicable manufacturer warranty.
Missed Appointments and Cancellations
Appointments cancelled without reasonable notice, missed appointments or aborted visits where access is unavailable may be subject to a call-out or labour charge.
Payment Terms
Payment is due in accordance with the quotation or invoice, unless otherwise agreed in writing. In most cases, payment is due immediately upon completion of the works. Pinnacle Plumbing Heating & Gas Ltd carries card payment facilities for customer convenience. Late payments may incur additional charges. Ownership of all materials and installed equipment remains with Pinnacle Plumbing Heating & Gas Ltd until payment has been received in full.
Limitation of Liability
Our liability is limited to the value of the work carried out by Pinnacle Plumbing Heating & Gas Ltd. We shall not be liable for indirect, consequential or financial losses, loss of earnings, business interruption, or damage arising from the failure of existing systems or components outside of our control.
Insurance
Customers are advised to maintain adequate buildings and contents insurance to cover unforeseen events, including failures of existing plumbing, heating and drainage systems.
Acceptance
By accepting our quotation or instructing Pinnacle Plumbing Heating & Gas Ltd to proceed with any works, the customer acknowledges that they have read, understood and accepted these Terms and Conditions in full.
Customer Responsibility Following Completion
Upon completion of the works, the customer will be invited to inspect the installation and, where applicable, the operation of the system will be demonstrated. Once the customer has accepted the completed works, responsibility for monitoring the property and the installed system passes to the customer.
Pinnacle Plumbing Heating & Gas Ltd cannot be held liable for any loss or damage resulting from leaks, failures or faults that develop after handover due to pre-existing defects, failure of existing components, accidental damage, misuse, freezing conditions, power outages or any other circumstances beyond our reasonable control. Customers are advised to regularly inspect the property following completion of the works, particularly before leaving the property unattended, and to maintain appropriate buildings and contents insurance.
Right to Suspend or Refuse Works
Pinnacle Plumbing Heating & Gas Ltd reserves the right to suspend or refuse works where site conditions are deemed unsafe, where abusive or threatening behaviour is directed towards our employees or subcontractors, where payment terms have not been complied with, or where continuing the works would breach current legislation, manufacturer instructions or Gas Safe Regulations. Any costs incurred up to the point of suspension shall remain payable by the customer.
