What affects your price
Your quotation reflects the actual work your property needs. The main variables are:
- Boiler type and output required for your property
- Whether the boiler stays in the same position or moves
- Whether you are changing system type, such as regular to combi
- Condition of existing pipework and whether the gas supply is adequately sized
- Flue routing and terminal position
- System cleanliness and whether a power flush is needed
- Controls, if these are being upgraded at the same time
What is included as standard
Every quotation we issue includes the boiler, the labour, all materials, removal and disposal of the old appliance, a system cleanse, a magnetic filter, commissioning, Building Regulations notification and manufacturer warranty registration.
If something is not included, it is stated on the quotation rather than left for you to discover later. Making good decorative finishes is the most common exclusion, and we will say so explicitly where it applies.
Why we survey before quoting
We cannot see your pipework, your flue route or your mains pressure over the phone. Any firm price given without a survey is either padded to cover the installer’s risk, or it will be revised upward when they arrive.
A survey takes a short time and produces a number you can actually rely on and compare fairly against other quotes.
How to compare quotes properly
If you are getting several quotations, compare what is included rather than the headline figure. Ask each installer:
- Is the system flush included, and is it a chemical clean or a power flush?
- Is a magnetic filter included?
- Is removal and disposal of the old boiler included?
- Are new controls included, or extra?
- Who notifies Building Control?
- What guarantee covers the workmanship, separately from the appliance?
The cheapest quote is rarely the cheapest job once the exclusions surface.

Is the quotation free?
Yes. The survey and the written quotation are free and come with no obligation.
How long is the quotation valid?
Your quotation will state its validity period. Material prices do change, so we cannot hold a price indefinitely, but we will not pressure you with artificial deadlines.
Can you quote over the phone?
We can discuss likely ranges, but a firm price needs a survey. Anything else is a guess that will change.
What if I only want advice?
That is fine. If your boiler is worth repairing rather than replacing, we would rather tell you that than sell you something you do not need.
